It's that time of the year again! Yes, the festive season countdown is now officially on with the first decorations out in department stores right now. Avid readers of this blog will already know that it is absolutely my favourite time of the year - the season of joy & goodwill & Christmas Carols on repeat - so I'm pretty much in seventh heaven in many of these pictures, taken at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre before a day spent browsing around, eating brunch at Passiontree Velvet with my mother & then (much later) enjoying a family dinner at Yum Cha Cuisine with my father in tow.

The outfit I'm wearing is equally festive - a beautiful, retro-inspired baby blue woven smock with 3D embellishment, puffy sleeves & high/low hemline from whimsical British label Sister Jane (available in Australia on the Asos website), white leather pointy-toed mules with natural wooden heels from Country Road, a circular woven straw crossbody bag from a fledgling new brand that I discovered on Etsy called Ayara, silver art-deco-style hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers & a pair of wooden beaded bracelets with silver charms & a creamy white tassel from Emmala by Emma to complete the look & amp up the bohemian vibes.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...
