Clearly my quest to immerse myself in every single department store festive display in all the land is moving along nicely... This time I'm posing at Westfield Garden City's Myer store after a morning of retail therapy with my mother wearing a stunning black linen baby-doll smock dress with embroidered bodice, Peter Pan collar & buttons down the back from Meg by Design via the delightful Bristle by Melissa Simmonds at Paddington with a white elastane slip from Taking Shape underneath for modesty purposes (the white chosen specifically over a black slip so that the aforementioned bodice embroidery would be visible), my "old faithful" black perforated leather heeled sandals from Wittner that are super comfortable & just seem to go with anything & everything & matching black matte leather shoulder bag from the funky Pigeonhole boutique in Brisbane's Wintergarden. When it came to jewellery, I chose a couple of my all-time favourite pieces, both with a slight bohemian vibe that just screams "weekend" to me - an art-deco inspired silver hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers & a chunky black painted wood bangle with embellishments in the form of beads & sparkles that a dear friend brought back for me from a trip to India.

Scroll down to see a few more pictures, including the traditional "mother daughter" selfie that we absolutely love to take...
