Spending as many summer afternoons as possible at the park with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins, enjoying the late afternoon breezes as they mingle with the warmth of the Queensland sun as it begins to set, sharing a laugh or two while the boys ride their bikes or climb all over the playground before heading home for dinner. On this particular afternoon, I thought I would give my new Country Road mini dress a little spin - it's made from a black cotton cheesecloth blend that means it doesn't need ironing (yay) & is able to be worn either on or off the shoulder (I opted for the former), making it ideal for staying cool & not worrying about the potential for any marks or stains that come with helping children untangle bike chains or make it to the top of climbing frames... I styled it up with a pair of comfortable, 1990s throwback "surf sandals" from Jo Mercer & a funky printed recycled polyblend sunhat with toggle from the Playground by Gorman range that meant for kids but suitable for the young at heart, too.
