You know that you're a born & bred Queenslander when you complain (long & often, to be quite honest) about the dreadful humidity, unbearable heatwaves & water restrictions but look back fondly on warmer days when the temperature dips below double figures! Case in point: I'm sitting at my computer, wrapped up in a fluffy pink dressing gown with clog-shaped slippers on my feet & the heater blaring, waxing lyrical about pictures taken on a gorgeous late summer afternoon under the backyard mango tree. I remember frolicking around in this black cotton tiered midi dress with shiny gold sequinned trim & tie straps from Aussie-based fashion label Bonita Collective feeling like a hippie-bohemian-gypsy queen... particularly when I styled it up with some "rainbow bright" colours in the form of these utterly bonkers yet totally mesmerizing heavily patterned & embellished vegan leather t-bar heels from Sarsparilly's Bento/Sushi anime-style collaboration with cult shoe label Irregular Choice & an armful of plastic & thread bangles in both circle & square shapes from Tree of Life to complete the look.
