Finally sharing all of the beautiful pictures from a sunny morning spent touring Southbank with my mother & father, walking along the boardwalk from the cultural precinct after deciding against waiting in the ultra-long line at GOMA's "European Masters" exhibit (honestly, in the time of a pandemic, why on earth wouldn't they have timed ticketing?!), getting piping hot coffee from a little coffee van in the Parklands after exploring the Nepalese Peace Pagoda & sitting down to watch the lazy Brisbane River pass on by before checking out all the art installations for the Brisbane Festival & finishing with a delicious, leisurely lunch at one of our all-time favourite places, Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant, where both the service & the fare are always top tier.

For the occasion, I wore the stunning Alexandra Floral Chiffon Midi Dress from celebrated Australian label Anthea Crawford with its divine sweet pea print, soft black satin lining, tapered three-quarter-length sleeves & midi hemline, styled up with a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from Kitten D'Amour which are the ideal fusion of style & comfort (seriously... I wore them all day, walking around everywhere & had absolutely no blisters, no rubbing & no pain around my in-step), a black leather convertible shoulder-to-crossbody bag from hipster haven Pigeonhole to carry all the essentials including the obligatory hand sanitizer, a stack of wooden bangles painted in a variety of art nouveau floral styles that a dear friend gifted me & finally, a black woven hemp facemask from Oroton to help protect myself and others until this pandemic is truly over.

Scroll down to see how the day unfolded...

Nepalese Peace Pagoda
Originally brought to Brisbane as the Kingdom of Nepal's contribution to World Expo '88, the three story high pagoda features 80 tonnes of hand-carved Nepalese timber & took more than 160 Nepalese families two years to build. It is one of only three to be located outside Nepal.
