All dressed up for an event in the River City wearing what I would describe as my favourite silhouette of all time - a voluminous, jacquard mini smock with exaggerated sleeves - that I actually own in a variety of different colours & prints. This particular number is a whimsical, very pale blue & white floral from celebrated British label Sister Jane & I've styled it up with some edgier, darker accessories for a "tougher" look in the form of a pair of black leather ankle boots from Wittner (my cold-weather staple), black 40 denier nylon Razzamatazz tights to keep my legs feeling toasty, a boxy black vinyl handbag from French Connection to carry all the essentials including hand sanitizer, a funky white ceramic heart brooch from the Queensland Art Gallery store & a silver hinged bangle from Oxfam that I've had for twenty years (this year!) to complete the look. As always, the facemask is a black woven hemp version from Aussie designer Oroton & is not only cooler in the progressively warmer temperatures but hypoallergenic, too. All in all, a good investment at $29.
