Leaning on a friend (hello painted kookaburra street art) and becoming a bright pop of springtime colour against the brick backdrop on the streets of Paddington in this stunning floral twill flared midi dress from celebrated New Zealand designer Trelise Cooper (an oldie from my closet that has certainly stood the test of time & is very much in keeping with this season's large-scale-print trend), cinched at the waist with a pattern-mixed navy & black spotted vinyl belt with resin heart buckle from retro-inspired That Shop & styled up with a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from Kitten D'Amour (honestly, they are called the "Lucky Country" heeled sandals & they are the epitome of style & comfort entwined... I literally have 3 pairs of the same because they are THAT GOOD) & a black vinyl 90s revival shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials including the ever-present facemask & hand sanitizer. When it came to jewellery, I chose some of my favourite pieces - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles (7 in all) that some dear friends sent from overseas, a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop that just seems to work with everything & finally, a chunky Victorian silver belcher bracelet with filigree heart locket & teeny tiny key from (sadly now closed) Kellie's Antiques that someone dear (who is unfortunately no longer with us) gave me for my 30th birthday & that I absolutely treasure.
