Posting pictures from the weekend that already seems so far away! I'm blaming the heat, like every other disgruntled (& sweaty!) Queenslander seems to be... Roll on Autumn, we're MORE than ready for your cool breezes & comfortable evenings...

Headed out to Indooroopilly Shoppingtown for a mother/daughter shopping trip, beating the heat while languishing in the air-conditioning, listening to the live band booked for the opening of the new H&M store & sampling some delicious Yum Cha at our usual haunt on the bottom floor.

For something a little bit special, I decided to bust out the lace & painted rose print dress from Anthea Crawford that I last wore on Christmas Day in this post, mixed with a pair of red & black colour block patent sandals (an absolute steal in the Rivers sale) with buckle details & matching boxy, black patent handbag.

When it came to jewellery, silver & jade accessories were the order of the day. The jade bangle & beaded bracelet - chosen to pick up on the green of the leaves in the painted rose print - were both gifts my brother brought back from a recent trip to China. What I love most is the fact that beads in the bracelet are each different grades of jade that change colour the more they are worn, making it uniquely mine.

My favourite silver cuff with engraving on the inside reading "All You Need Is Love" added some shine for day while the 2 rings - one in the shape of a rose & the other in the shape of a curled leaf - worked with the aforementioned botanical theme for a cohesive overall look.

Enjoying a BBQ pork bun...

...Still making *magic* even without my beloved Garfunkel...
