In Time for Maritime

There's nothing better than being able to play tourist in your own city - particularly if you're discovering a place that you had somehow overlooked - & my morning at the Maritime Museum with a certain small boy definitely confirmed this. We explored everything with gusto, discovering what it would be like to become a lighthouse keeper, climbing all over the HMAS Diamantina, pretending to steer our own ship with the help of the very first steam-powered wheel & imagining what it would be like to fire a historic cannon or even dive for buried treasure (!)... exploits that I have endeavored to capture on film below.

Go ahead & check it out...

Captain's Cat

Ahoy There!

Posing in front of the wall of shipping lights in another eclectic ensemble: a "firework" floral print twill fit-to-flare dress from Anthea Crawford, pink stretch lace pullover with sport-luxe striped cuffs from Zara, black mesh kickboxing boots with a white stripe from Puma & black leather crossbody bag with white diamante-studded strap detail from Catherine by Catherine Malandrino, gifted to me by a dear friend who recently returned from New York.

Walking through the bougainvillea arches into Southbank Parklands for a refreshing strawberry milkshake & maybe a cupcake or two...

Mid Chew...

And if those cupcakes weren't enough... Spicy Calamari with Aioli & Rosemary Baked Potatoes on the Side while catching up at Beach House with a certain little brother...

Happiness Is... A Dinosaur Hand Puppet, evidently...
