Avid readers of this blog probably already know that I can't resist "thematic" dressing (not to be confused with costumes, which I really don't like all that much, if at all) so when the opportunity to wear this utterly divine, limited edition, embroidered mesh "wiggle" dress with velvet bows, ruffles & lace from French-inspired, Australian-designer label Kitten D'Amour to a performance of the Queensland Ballet's newest masterpiece, Dangerous Liaisons - based on the tantalisingly wicked 1782 Cholderlos de Laclos novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses about the petty jealousies & jaded insouciance of life in the Royal Court of 18th century France - I was absolutely over the moon... which was actually quite fitting as the frock itself comes from the "Blue Moon" collection. To allow the design to take "centre stage" as it were, I wore a pair of black patent leather heeled booties from Wittner to elongate my frame, carried a boxy black suede handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection & opted for minimal jewellery in the form of a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop & thin, delicate silver hinged bangle from Oxfam to that touch of shine.
