Taking this gorgeous deep purple, guipure lace fit-to-flare dress from David Lawrence for a spin before heading off to a beautiful ballet performance with some dear friends. It's no secret that I love full skirts for the "twirl" factor & despite some initial misgivings due to the weight of the guipure fabric (make no mistake, it is HEAVY) this one does not disappoint! I've styled it up with a sky-high pair of black leather lace-up booties from Jo Mercer, monochrome speckled vinyl shoulder bag with silver chain straps from Nine West to add visual interest, a silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop for that touch of daytime shine & finally, an AMAZING purple & silver beaded necklace with oversized natural agate pendant that was gifted to me recently. While it may be true that I don't often wear necklaces, the v-neckline of the dress was just crying out for something a little bit special & this was definitely it. Scroll down to see more...
