Finally sharing all of the gorgeous pictures from a day spent exploring the free "Sidewalk Science" event at the Railway Workshops Museum as part of World Science Festival 2019 with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins. In addition to all the usual train-related exhibits that we love, there were many activities to entertain enquiring minds including archaeology (digging up fossils), resource management (being water wise, planting trees, putting litter in bin, the importance of recycling), marine biology (touching shells, starfish, shark teeth) & literal rocket science (actually launching a homemade rocket).

For the occasion, I "shopped my closet" & wore this amazing pink & black floral stretch jacquard dress with bateau neckline, draped waist & cap sleeves from Anthea Crawford, black leather sandals with silver buckles from Wittner for the fusion of style & support, a black vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Urban Originals (sourced from my local TK Maxx store... absolutely LOVE that place) to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free to try the experiments & wrangle excitable children & finally, a silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop for a touch of daytime shine to elevate the look.

Scroll down to see how the day unfolded...

I think it's safe to say that some of us were more thrilled by the wonders of space than others...
