All dressed up for a recent freelance styling job & taking time out to snap a few pictures at Indooroopilly Shoppingtown, firstly in the gorgeous light-up baubles that have been a firm favourite of mine for the past few years, as well as in front of this amazing wallpaper outside the Kathmandu store depicting a glorious wintertime forest scene... a view almost diametrically opposed to the dry, oppressive heatwave conditions that we've been experiencing here in Queensland. Avid readers of this blog will already have realised that I am adding more "block" colour into my wardrobe this year after wearing funky patterns & prints (especially florals, stripes & polka dots) almost exclusively for years & it has been a good change. I feel that as a stylist, I should not only know what "works" for me, fashion-wise but be brave enough to try something new, a mantra that I would espouse to any of my clients & one that I am taking to heart. I'm posing in a gorgeous cobalt blue crepe faux-wrap dress with voluminous sleeves, asymmetrically-ruffled hemline & tie waist from Aussie label Anthea Crawford, a pair of black laser-cut leather peeptoe heeled sandals from Wittner, a funky blue & white toile neoprene shoulder bag with black strap from Parfait ce Cabas via Hummingbird in Paddington, a vintage silver & mirrored mosaic bangle from Empire Revival & finally, a chunky Victorian silver bracelet with oversized filigree heart locket & teeny tiny key from Kellie's Antiques, gifted to me by a dear friend.

Scroll down to see more...

And one final flourish...
