All dressed up for a Christmas party in the city in shades of traditional red & green, feeling like Cindy Lou Who from Dr Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," ready to drink some eggnog (I'm getting used to the taste) & watch the anniversary edition of perennial holiday favourite, "Elf," which rather alarmingly has been around for sixteen years this December. I'm wearing a gorgeous red crepe midi-length dress with deep v-neckline, top-stitching & puff sleeves from Aussie designer Anthea Crawford, chunky black leather heels with chrome buckles from Jo Mercer, a black vinyl cylindrical bag with small handles & chrome hardware from French Connection, augmented with utterly divine festive accessories - an absolutely stunning, kitschy bib necklace with fabric offcuts, brooches & other haberdashery bits & bobs from a market stall in Portobello Road, a trio of glass & wooden beaded bracelets that some dear friends gifted me a few years ago & finally, an oversized green felt bow headpiece from a little Etsy boutique called SewingItAu that really just amped up the entire look.
