Sharing all of the gorgeous pictures from an afternoon spent escaping the relentless summertime heat at Indooroopilly Shoppingtown with a spot of Christmas shopping, Gold Class movie date to see the black comedy/whodunnit "Knives Out" & early family dinner at the delectable Motto Motto. I'm wearing a sweet celestial-printed cotton mini smock dress with button-down back from Scandinavian label Ganni via Matches Fashion, black leather pointy-toed heels with laces from Wittner, a black vinyl cylindrical handbag from French Connection to carry all the essentials & finally, the juxtaposition of jewellery pieces - a chunky silver art deco hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers on one wrist & a delicate silver & onyx bracelet from Oxfam on the other.

My Verdict?

I absolutely LOVED the film "Knives Out." As someone who adores both black comedies & murder mysteries, it was the perfect fix of both genres... with a cheeky nod to Agatha Christie's Crooked House... & an AWESOME twist in the tale. I loved the kitschy, maximalistic set design (seriously plotting how I could actually move in to the manor house on Deerborn Drive), the WASP-inspired costumes & the funky, 1970s-infused soundtrack. It's worth the watch & I'm actually looking foward to seeing it again, as I think there is even more to "unpack" in terms of verbal/non-verbal clues in a second viewing.

Early dinner at Motto Motto... I couldn't resist the Sukiyaki Meat & Tofu bowl, although Mum & Dad were happy with the Seared Atlantic Salmon & Avocado option...
