After being told that I look like a pixie, sprite or fairy girl on a regular basis (regardless of what I'm wearing & how much older I believed it makes me seem) I'm truly embracing the sweetness for this gorgeous "Star Fairy" look, worn to a recent kitschy Christmas Party in the River City. This stunning gold & cream star-printed jacquard mini dress with ruffled collar & high/low hemline from retro-inspired British label Sister Jane was ideal, particularly when mixed with a pair of gold metallic leather "Mary Jane" heels from Wittner, a khaki green vinyl handbag with cream embroidery & gold hardware from a little stall called Style-Us at Indooroopilly Shoppingtown, a plethora of mixed metal sparkly bangles that a dear friend brought back from India a few years ago & finally, an amazing gold tinsel headpiece with "floating" star from my local Big W store to complete the whimsical ensemble.
