One of my most beloved Christmas traditions would have to be attending a ballet performance of Tchiakovsky's The Nutcracker with a dear friend from interstate. The timeless story of a young girl, Clara, who befriends the wooden Nutcracker doll - given to her by the magician Drosselmeyer - that comes alive on Christmas Eve & wages battle with the evil Mouse King for dominion over the fantasy world comprising of dancers from many lands... only to be turned into the Sugarplum Fairy, the dancer of her dreams, in order to have one waltz with the now Nutcracker Prince before waking up beneath the Christmas Tree in the morning...

For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous blush pink & black floral jacquard fit-to-flare dress with tulle underskirts from Taking Shape, blush pink suede peeptoe heels with buckles from Forever New & matching blush pink vinyl boxy handbag with silver hardware from Olga Berg via my local Myer store, chunky silver art deco hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers & handmade oversized oyster-shell cocktail ring with tiny vintage pearl from StudioLeanne, one of my best-ever finds on online emporium, Etsy.
