The return of (somewhat) blue skies & warmer temperatures was heralded with a morning roadtrip down the hippie mecca of Byron Bay to go walking along the trails in Palm Valley that lead through stone steps & lush green canopies to expansive blue water vistas & a peek at the historical Byron Bay Lighthouse like a great white beacon in the distance.

For the occasion, I decided to bust out my brand-spanking-new burgundy linen overalls from Aussie retro beachwear brand Ghanda with the funky "Museum Date" printed linen tee from the collaboration between Kindah Khalidy & Gorman beneath for modesty, black leather sandals with silver buckles & a slight heel from Wittner (surprisingly comfortable for walking) & a nylon & textured vinyl crossbody bag from Nautica to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free. When it came to jewellery, I chose a pair of black lava bead bracelets with carved stone faces, silver angel wing charms & twine tassels from a stall called Gone Dotti at the Southbank Markets to evoke those laid-back hippie vibes.

In retrospect, perhaps a little bit "Andy Pandy" but I still love the look...

Jumpsuit: Little Tienda linen

Bracelets: Emmala by Emma wood beads, silver charms, twine tassels

Taking the divine Adela jumpsuit from ethically aware clothing label Little Tienda on an adventure to the hipster paradise otherwise known as James Street, Burleigh Heads for some mother/daughter shopping & a spot of all-day-breakfast at Connor. There's so much to love about this soft, sumptuous jumpsuit with its denim-like navy hue, wide-legged pants, relaxed silhouette, wooden buttons & waist tie, particularly when it's mixed with a flesh tone stretch cardigan from Metalicus that's just cropped enough to hit at the smallest part of my waist & elongate my frame, tan leather gladiator sandals from Wittner that accentuate my thin ankles & a pink painted cane shoulder bag with tan leather strap from the Renee Loves Frances boutique at Bulimba for added "beachy" summer vibes. Bohemian jewellery was the order of the day - a funky bamboo watch with tan suede strap & silver buckle from Olive & Vern at The Strand, Coolangatta & my trust wooden beaded bracelets from Emmala by Emma that pretty much feature in each & every installment of this series, such is their beauty & versatility.

Fisherman... but make it Fashion, okay?
Seafaring vibes under stormy skies with an elevated chambray denim baby doll dress - complete with yoke embroidery - from Naudic that I found on sale at Sea Wish Coolangatta & promptly made my own, mustard drill cotton anorak with hood from Aztec Rose that I picked up at my local TK Maxx store a few years ago now (you may have seen my mother & I rocking the very same one at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in earlier posts) to ward off the chill in the air, comfortable white leather sneakers from Wittner & a white cane circular crossbody bag with vinyl strap from Homestore Ashgrove to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free.
