Stopping to pose along the roadside of one of my most beloved shopping destinations in Brisbane, La Trobe Terrace in Paddington, before heading to a children's concert with some dear friends (visiting from overseas) followed by lunch at Sassafrass Cafe to indulge in their delicious brunch options. It's hard to believe this was a mere three weeks ago as things have changed so rapidly in this country in terms of weather, bushfires, rainfall totals & of course, the dreaded coronavirus issue. I'm thinking back on happier times when despite the horrendous hot & humid weather, things looked much brighter...

In these gorgeous pictures, I'm wearing a beautiful pink floral satin fit-to-flare dress with black spotted mesh overlay & black piping detailing from Taking Shape's "event wear" offering, a pair of blush pink leather pointy-toed heels with laces from Wittner (the ideal mix of comfort & style; I could LITERALLY walk in these babies all day long... & I have) & a matching blush vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Forever New to carry all of my essentials. I'm also toting a black woven wide-brimmed hat from Forever New to protect myself from the Queensland sun's harmful rays. For the occasion, I chose some special jewellery pieces to complete the look - a chunky silver art-deco-inspired hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers & a silver frangipani bracelet from a little boutique called Spirit's Gift in Coolangatta, both thoughtful keepsake Christmas presents from my parents over the years.

Can't resist a good mirror selfie...
