Although I try to wear Australian/New Zealand designed & made clothing whenever possible including Anthea Crawford, Lee Mathews, Trelise Cooper & Sacha Drake, it's no secret that I absolutely adore the whimsical creations of British label Sister Jane - particularly the avante garde diffusion line, Dream Sister Jane - which taps into that crumbling-Victorian-facade-retro-fairy-girl aesthetic that I'm always so fond of. Secret Garden dressing, if you will... probably why taking this gorgeous series of snapshots in my own "walled garden" on a balmy winter afternoon in Queensland seemed like a complete no-brainer. This magical blue textured jacquard mini dress with its puffed sleeves & square neckline works beautifully with a pair of shiny, navy patent leather heeled ankle boots from Wittner, a matching navy patent shoulder bag with silver hardware from Anthea Crawford & a funky, vintage silver & mirrored mosiac bangle from Empire Antiques to complete the look while adding some daytime sparkle.
