Scenes from Social Distancing (part 2)

A little peek about how social distancing/lockdown is going for this fashion blogger...

Chilling out on the back deck wearing a funky, abstract-horse-printed navy & white cotton mini shirtdress from diffusion label Hi There From Karen Walker with a white fuzzy cropped cardigan from Kitten D'Amour & shiny navy patent loafers from Paul Green via Peter Sheppard Footwear.

Cooler weather means one thing - soup for dinner again!
Two of my all-time favourites include cream of tomato with a cheese toastie on the side or homemade pumpkin & potato with black pepper.

*

Spot the grasshopper!
I know that he's taking rather large bites out of all of the lemon tree leaves, but I just can't bring myself to kill him/get rid of him or use sprays to dissuade him. Going with the whole "live & let live" thing when it comes to insects in the garden...

*

ANZAC Day with a difference this year...
We stood out on our driveway - as did our neighbours - at the break of dawn with torches or lit candles & paid our respects to the brave men & women who lost their lives or limbs to ensure our freedom.

*

A quick mirror selfie in my Dressing Room wearing this stunning floral cotton kimono robe from Linens Unlimited... Honestly, it's the ultimate in loungewear.

Baking, Baking, Baking

This mischievous little lounge lizard...

Nothing like surveying the scene with a piping hot cup of tea in your hand... particularly if you're drinking it from a vibrant blue & white ceramic Spode cup...

A collection of mother/daughter selfies to celebrate Mothers Day 2020

A sunny morning of socially-distanced fun at the local netball courts (currently vacant due to youth community sport being on hold due to virus restrictions) with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins. I'm being heckled for blog-photo-posing by a two-boy scooter gang while wearing a darling, boho-style floral cotton smock dress with butterfly sleeves & tie detailing from slow-fashion label Ankoa, a mauve knitted cardigan with brown buttons from Princess Highway, blush leather sneakers with white rubber soles from Frankie 4 Footwear & a white vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Forever New to carry all of the essentials while keeping my hands free.

Opening up belated birthday presents after a play at the park... it really doesn't get much better than that for a Saturday morning!

Food Glorious Food

A quick refresh/redo of the back garden & I'm sitting pretty in another lovely floral cotton number from Ankoa, chunky pink knitted cardigan from Cotton On & funky Converse x Scooby Doo sneakers...

Little Tableaus

Delicious take away from Cafe O Mai at Annerley...

Jumpsuit for Joy!
Loving this vibrant blue floral polyblend number from British label Phase Eight (a thoughtful gift from some dear friends), particularly when mixed with these gorgeous strappy silver leather heels from Jo Mercer...

There's always room for dessert...

*

More delicious take away... this time from Marina Italian Restaurant at Hawthorne...

SCOOBY DOOBY DOO!

Even MORE delicious take away... this time from Creole Soul Kitchen at Spring Hill...

A bit of "retail therapy" with a trip to Indooroopilly Shoppingtown for some essentials. I dressed up for the occasion in a beautiful black floral lace dress with mauve lining, striped waist band & beading around the neckline from Anthea Crawford, a cropped black knitted cardigan from Review, a pair of black leather pointy-toed heels with elastic straps from Wittner & a matching vinyl handbag from French Connection.
