There's something about classical music that's just so atmospheric & theatrical, isn't there? I know that some people find it to be quite staid & boring (ostensibly due to the lack of lyrics) but I think that it really gets the heart pumping with all of its pomp & circumstance & is more than capable, by sound alone, to transport the listener to another world or a vastly different place & time. Case in point: a recent festive orchestral performance that I was lucky enough to attend at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) where I wore this, well, rather theatrical ensemble... an utterly divine cotton cold-shoulder dress with ruffled waterfall skirt in a vibrant shade of lipstick red from Anthea Crawford, flesh tone leather heeled ankle boots with pointy-toes from Wittner with matching vintage-style vinyl handbag with gold hardware from girly Australian label Review, a trio of sparkly mixed metal bangles that were gifted to me a dear friend & finally, this stunning "Liberte" baby blue printed cotton belt from Kitten D'Amour, covered in glorious illustrations from revolutionary France with elastic straps, oversized buttons & a thin red grosgrain ribbon tie belt for that final flourish.
