I'm so excited to finally share all of my gorgeous festive pictures, starting with these snippets from some of the best Christmas lights displays in my local area. This one, painstakingly created by a dear friend & her family using a wealth of recycled materials, was the first that I saw this year & was just impossible to forget due to its joy & ingenuity. As you can clearly see, I was absolutely relishing the chance to truly explore before the crowds descended, wearing a cute black & white polka dotted jumpsuit (a polyblend with just the right amount of stretch) from Jayson Brunsdon Black Label at Myer, black leather heeled sandals with silver buckles from Wittner (often referred to as the ideal pairing of style & comfort) with matching black leather handbag from Pigeonhole & a shiny silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop to complete the look.

After a litany of stormy afternoons & evenings kept cancelling our plans, I was ecstatic to finally be able to check out even more Christmas lights with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins on Christmas Eve Eve... yep, nothing like cutting it fine! Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to see the display at Nerima Gardens in Queens Park due to the extremely long queues, but we did make it to four different addresses with stunning festive displays. Thankfully, a cooler evening meant that I was able to bust out my brand-spanking-new green, black & pink floral cotton maxi dress with tie straps from Sacha Drake, worn like a pinafore with a black cotton t-shirt from Seed Heritage underneath, trusty black leather heeled sandals from Wittner & nylon crossbody bag with vinyl straps & silver hardware from Nautica to keep my hands free for child-wrangling duties. Rather than my usual bangle or cuff, I donned a funky, tongue-in-cheek black & pink neoprene watch from the Swatch x Rijksmuseum collection, depicting a neo-classical woman (from a painting in the museum's famed collection of classic artworks) taking a very modern selfie!
