As previously mentioned in yesterday's post, this year I'm trying to be particularly mindful of the impact that the production of clothing has on the environment by endeavoring to wear as many of the beautiful pieces I own as much as possible, in a variety of different ways. Case in point: this gorgeous green, white & blue leaf printed cotton shift dress from "ethical clothing" label Anthea Crawford that I styled up in two different ways to wear over the recent Australia Day Long Weekend. In this instance, I've styled it up to head out to late afternoon/pre-dinner drinks with friends on what can only be described as an extremely hot & humid afternoon, adding a pair of khaki green suede heels with chunky silver buckles from Wittner to provide height with the midi-length hemline of the dress, a small silver/gold lurex handbag with silver chain strap from Forever New to carry a few essentials & two pieces of jade jewellery that my brother brought back from a trip to China a few years ago to complete the look - a beautiful thin bangle from the Shanghai Markets & delicate beaded bracelet from Wanfu Jade.
