Stamford Staycation #1

Finally sharing all of the gorgeous pictures (over six special blog posts) from our amazing "staycation" at Stamford Plaza for my younger brother's wedding, including the Rehearsal Dinner, Tea ceremony, Church ceremony & Reception, family & bridal party Banquet afterwards... among others of us exploring our riverside surroundings & attending various events unrelated to the wedding mishugas, as a dear friend's husband would often say to describe the craziness & high emotion that surrounds special occasions.

A few quick snaps in the beautiful foyer area & courtyard of Stamford Plaza to showcase the outfit that I styled up to attend an awe-inspiring performance by one of my all-time favourite bands, The Eagles. I'm rocking an edgy navy crepe midi dress with extreme black fringing (that ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE seemed to want to touch... yup, even strangers walking past) from celebrated Aussie designer Carla Zampatti's new Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, black laser-cut leather heels from Wittner & a boxy black suede handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection to carry all of the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple with silver pieces from Precious Stones Jewellers - a hinged bangle in the shape of a wave & flat tribal cuff designed by Najo.

All dressed up for the Rehearsal Dinner at Creole Soul Kitchen wearing a beautiful floral crepe empire-line maxi dress with tulip skirt & black ribbon straps (added by me) that was gifted to me by a dear friend, black laser cut leather heels from Wittner, boxy black suede handbag with oversized silver straps (yup, same as what I wore to see The Eagles owing to suitcase/packing constraints) from French Connection & stunning silver jewellery pieces from Precious Stones Jewellers, as seen in the flatlay below:

Reveling in the sights & sounds of the city with a trip to the Museum of Brisbane to experience the Easton Pearson Fashion Exhibit before following it up with lunch at the (sadly) soon-to-close Mick O'Malley's Irish Pub wearing a cute monochrome polka dotted polyblend jumpsuit from Jayson Brunsdon Black Label (exclusive to Myer), black laser cut leather heels from Wittner (elongating the legs while staying comfortable), boxy black vinyl handbag with white piping & bow detail from "girly" Aussie label Review & silver hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers.
