Recent heatwave excluded, the cooler Autumn temperatures, overcast skies & rain events have been welcomed with open arms by the majority of Queenslanders who have been made weary by endless hot & humid days with little-to-no precipitation & the vast dry & brown landscape. Long-time readers of this blog will know that I absolutely LIVE for the Wintertime & thrive in the cooler months, when I can be outside & active, exploring many activities that are simply off limits in the Summer months. One such activity is a Friday morning spent enjoying brunch at the Mt Coot tha Summit Lookout, playing "tourist in my own city," as it were; this time with my wonderful parents along for the adventure.

In keeping with the more casual surroundings, I'm wearing a funky, Night Creatures printed silk/cheesecloth jumpsuit with deep v-neckline & tassels from the Gorman x Mirka Mora collaboration, black laser cut leather heeled sandals from Wittner (comfortable & sturdy enough for walking while elongating my frame... talk about a win/win situation!), boxy black suede handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection, matching vintage Indian silver bangles that a dear friend brought back for me from a recent trip & a pair of amazing black resin "cat eye" sunglasses from Sportsgirl to complete the look with an element of retro flair.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... especially if you can also sneak some Hash Brown from someone else's plate to complete the flavour explosion!
