Spent a sunny Sunday finding out what to do in the event of an emergency at the Southbank Parklands Emergency Services Day Out with Belinda, Arthur & Jeremy. This Anthea Crawford "Atlantis" print jersey dress was the ideal choice for such an event, stretchy enough to climb in & out of the fire truck, ambulance, police car (well, paddy wagon...) & S.E.S water rescue boat; sleeved to ward off the sun's biting rays & brightly-patterned enough for a morning spent by the river.

All that was required to complete the ensemble was a mesh draped cardigan in a bright teal hue, black lace-up sandals that were comfortable for walking, a black handbag & a bohemian-style, patchwork tote bag big enough to fit in essentials like a hat, sunscreen & mosquito repellent. Jewellery was kept simple with my favourite silver cuff (a gift from my friend Alice, engraved with the words, "All You Need is Love" in a nod to the Beatles classic) & a bracelet made of sculpted silver hibiscus to pick up on the large-scale floral pattern. See below for a close-up view:

All that remains is to leave you with a few snippets from the day. Scroll down for a giggle...

Finally caught! Was it a crime of fashion?!?!

"Oooh, it's a Mercedes..."
Yes Jeremy, but the nice paramedic is at the OTHER end of the ambulance showing all of the OTHER little children how they transport patients...

A "shark" catching sight of the fish, chips & calamari...

Nothing like a refreshing Pepsi & Lemonade with a friend...
