Having already waxed lyrical about the wonderful feeling of long, floaty maxidress in a previous post - Maxi(mum) Impact - there's no need to say much more, except that these two dresses have been altered by a professional & as such, there is no need to employ my unique rubber band solution. The first dress, a tie dye cotton maxi-kaftan has been "taken up" conventionally; the bottom being folded up two inches & sewn straight across to create a shorter hemline whereas the second dress, a multi-print elastane option, has been turned inside out & had a piece of elastic sewn onto each side-seam half-way down to create a "ruched" effect & once again raise the hemline.
