Basking in a beautiful beach-side sunset - at the park, naturally - before heading to dinner at the local Earth & Sea Restaurant, home of the delicious seafood marinara...

A vibrant sponge effect silk smock was the perfect choice for both playing & dining - fun & pretty in equal measure. What I love most about such an abstract print is how different it looks from every angle: sometimes it looks like a floral, other times a river scene & finally, an artist's palette. Finding matching items for such a vivid print is as easy as picking out one of the colours inherent in the design - in this case, a dark pink mesh tie-front cardigan to ward off the sneaky coastal breeze. Little embellishment was required to complete the look, so accessories were kept to a minimum - my omnipresent jellies, iridescent bag, silver hinged bangle & funky shell ring (shown in detail above) from the Southbank Markets - a real, found hollowed out shell mixed with purple resin to create the design.
