Enjoyed a day spent browsing in the shops along La Trobe Terrace with friends & enjoying a delicious burger & icy-cold strawberry milkshake (see the evidence below) at The Java Lounge before finishing up at my usual haunt, the Paddington Antique Centre for coffee & a leisurely rummage through the vintage wares.
A casual day out needed an outfit that was easy-breezy yet still fun & flirty. This ensemble, a gift from a friend, fit the bill: a vibrant print in Springtime colours made of a slinky crushed silk that (much like yesterday's dress) required no ironing! Although pattern-on-pattern may be too funky for some, I love such a full-on look, particularly with the black mesh ruffled hemline of the camisole peeking out from underneath to give a sense of fullness & movement when walking.
To go with the matchy-matchy theme, I decided to wear matching accessories in the form of a chunky black beaded necklace & bracelet, mixed with a silver hinged bangle & large silver & black bead ring. Scroll down for more detailed pictures:
