There's nothing better than the feeling of a long, flowing maxidress on balmy - or was it, breezy? - coastal evenings. As I am of petite stature (I may have mentioned that before... you know, once or twice...) full-length dresses usually have to be altered so I'm not stumbling around or tripping over, but in the absence of a seamstress or even a needle & thread to do a rudimentary job myself, I found a more unusual solution: rubber bands. By turning the dress inside out, twisting & placing rubber bands around the bunches created in the fabric, drapery can be created, adding visual interest & most importantly, raising the hemline ever-so-slightly, as depicted in the two looks above...
