Deck the Halls

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa la la la la la la la la
Tis the season to be jolly

In which we spread a little Christmas cheer at my brother's house...

Spent a wonderful evening helping Louis & Louise decorate their Christmas tree, listening to Bing Crosby & Perry Como crooning about sleigh bells, little drummer boys & old Christmas cards on the record player & sharing some laughs about childhood Christmases that seem so long ago...

This cute vintage red & white spotted Mr Simon linen dress was the perfect option for such an occasion - cool, casual & comfortable with the colour adding a festive edge.

And the best bit? The buttons all down the back!
I love the way that little design details make something that would have otherwise been a run-of-the-mill shift dress into something just that little bit special.

When it came to shoes, these Soft Soul babies didn't disappoint - the wedge heels giving me height without sacrificing comfort & the silver front strap adding visual interest to the white leather.

When it came to jewellery, there was no option: I was desperate to wear the Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh cuff & matching ring that I had just picked up from the jewellery store after being fixed. The mix of metals - brass & silver - worked well with my shoe choice & the twisted silver bangle from Hourglass Jewellers (a birthday present from a dear friend) was just the finishing touch the outfit needed.

TA DA! The finished tree! Scroll down for a little peek...
