God Bless Us, Everyone...

For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour who is Christ the Lord.
- Luke 2:11

In which I celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ with family & dear friends...
And see what Santa Claus brought for the littlies, obviously.

Rose printed lace was the perfect choice for this year's Christmas Day ensemble. It was stretchy, surprisingly cool in the muggy weather & capable of hiding any stains accumulated through children's Christmas craft (looking at you, Kelly!), baby spit-up (looking at you, James!) or scoffing delicious "nibbles" without a serviette... yes, that's last one's down to me. I love my Mum's Rocky Road, what can I say? All part of the joys of a family Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere!

Seeing as we were hosting Christmas at our place this year, jewellery & accessories were kept relaxed - my chunky silver cuff, a pair of festive-themed charm bracelets for that touch of whimsy (bought from my local newsagent for less than $10 if you can believe it!?) & a pair of wine & black colour-blocked patent sandals with side-buckles... no handbag necessary!

See below for a close-up view of the bracelets in question:

A special day calls for a special headpiece & this little number, purchased at my local Myer store for the princely sum of $12, really did the trick, picking up all the colours contained in the dress' floral print & lending a touch of craziness to what is actually a rather mature & serious design.

Scroll down for a peek at proceedings...

Mum's amazing Rocky Road, Rum Balls, Apricot Balls & White Christmas "nibbles"... YUM!

Yet another Christmas headpiece "mirror selfie"

Wishing you a MERRY CHRISTMAS &
A FUN & FASHIONABLE NEW YEAR!
Thank you for supporting the blog in 2014.

And to finish, a bit of nostalgia with a photograph from a Family Christmas many, many years ago...
